Keeping Up With The Makeup Trends

Hello everyone and welcome to my first blog post😁! My name is Ebony and I am currently in my third year of university studying business and marketing at UWS and have been assigned the task of creating my own blog and have decided to focus on makeup and the continuously evolving trends surrounding it💋. Each blog post will focus on a specific popular makeup trend and will include a mini tutorial on how to achieve the desired look and also the products used and where to buy them💸.

BLOG POST 1 – THE FLUFFY SOAP BROW

Eyebrows are arguably the most important step in our makeup routines as they frame the face but can also be the most challenging to get right! Eyebrow shapes and styles are personal to everyone but over the years there has been many popular trends that have been very love or hate😕. The most recent brow craze is the fluffier less filled in brow look also named the ‘soap brow’ which millions of people are rocking at the minute! Personally, I love this trend and have been wearing it non-stop and have now got my fluffy brow routine just about perfected💖!

My Fluffy Brow Tutorial

Step 1 – The soap brow didn’t get the name without reason; the name is quite literal as the key step to achieve this look is using a clear soap and a spoolie to style your brow hairs into place! Any clear soap will most likely do the job but the product that has been working great for me is the soap brow kit from West Barn Co which holds my brows in place amazingly and do not budge🚫.

Step 2 – For some people using the soap is enough and leaves them with full and fluffy looking brows but if your brows are like mine and on the more sparse side and you want to thicken them up you can do this by using a brow pencil or pomade, I use a mixture of both to create my perfect brow. My personal favs are the P. Louise brow pencil as it is super fine and allows you to create the look of hairs and the Maybelline brow tattoo pomade as it helps to thicken up the brow.

Step 3 – This step is optional, but personally I love doing this step as it makes the brows look super sharp and clean, this is where you use a concealer or eye base to carve out the bottom of your brows to make them stand out💥. My go-to product for this is the P. Louise base as it is super pigmented and full coverage.
